WELCOME
Welcome to the North Dakota Insurance Guaranty Association (NDIGA) Web site. We hope that you find this site helpful in providing information regarding the purpose of the NDIGA and how it protects North Dakota policyholders and claimants in the event of a property and casualty insurance company insolvency.
WHO ARE WE?
The NDIGA, a non-profit statutory entity governed by North Dakota Century Code §26.1-42.1, is the property and casualty insurance guaranty association for the State of North Dakota. The association is composed of most insurance companies licensed to sell property and casualty insurance in North Dakota.
WHAT DO WE DO?
In the event that a member insurer is deemed insolvent and is ordered to be liquidated by a court, North Dakota state law enables the NDIGA to provide protection up to the limits specified by state law to certain North Dakota-based policyholders and claimants who are holders of property and casualty insurance policies issued by the insolvent member insurer.
